German Shepherds
The Team
Breeder: I first entered a training field with a German Shepherd puppy in 2005 and we achieved our first BH in 2006. Since then, I have engaged in tracking, protection work, search and rescue, obedience, and agility with several different breeds, both in the working dog sport and obedience sectors. I began training in different clubs in 2006 and actively participated in various club activities for many years. However, my interest led me to work with more challenging cases, specifically dealing with so-called "red zone" cases, such as rehabilitating dogs seized from dog fights and training wildlife. Abroad, I also collaborated with official entities, including the military and police dogs, especially in technical training. I have a degree from animal training from Finland and in England, I pursued specialized training related to training problematic dogs. I am qualified for roles as a trial official in BH, working dog trials, search and rescue trials, and obedience trials, as well as in temperament tests. Additionally, I have attended numerous smaller courses, lectures, and other self-improvement activities.
Since returning to Finland, my focus has mainly been on participating in various dog sports. In the first year, we achieved 3 BHs and 7 obedience trials with my own pack. The pack includes a diverse number of German Shepherds and a few mixed breeds, all of which undergo training and participate in trials based on each dog's abilities and strengths.
My current training grounds consist of my backyard, which serves as my personal training field, as well as fields and forests accessible from the front door. Additionally, I utilize the local German Shepherd clubs training field.
